Many bodybuilders shun Testosterone boosters, especially those you can get over the counter without a prescription, as they see them as nothing but snake oil.
I partially share that sentiment; especially when a pill promises you the world and has fourteen ingredients crammed into it.
However, I still believe that there are some natural Testosterone boosters out there that really do help us in our fitness journey.
This isn’t just a blind belief based on observation, but on actual science covering these substances.
I’ll show you three that I’ve used personally and that worked wonders during my SARMs cycle, and I’ve even successfully used them to combat mild suppression!
Click the button below to see which Testosterone Booster (and other supplements) I personally use with my SARMs cycles.
Three Natural Testosterone Boosters That Work Well With SARMs
Ashwagandha
Ashwagandha has a long history of usage, dating back thousands of years. It’s an awesome plant that has a myriad of benefits inside the body.
One study has shown a significant increase in the Luteinizing hormone which is known to stimulate Testosterone production. Also, the subjects in this research had their semen profile improved, leading to less infertility by the end of the study.
Another report reveals that men who have taken ashwagandha for a month experienced an increase in muscle mass and strength.
Also, ashwagandha has the uncanny ability to lower cortisol levels, which alleviates stress and anxiety, leading to better workouts. Cortisol is also known to suppress Testosterone levels, so you can expect an additional increase in T-levels once you start imbuing ashwagandha.
I usually take about 500mgs while on cycle and 250mgs off cycle to keep my Testosterone levels in a healthy range.
D-Aspartic Acid (DAA)
DAA is an amino acid responsible for the synthesis of protein in our bodies.
DAA has shown itself to be excellent in increasing Testosterone levels in men suffering from low Testosterone.
It does so by increasing LH and FSH levels, with a study showing increased Testosterone levels in men that took DAA in comparison to placebo. All the 23 men in the report experienced increased Testosterone release.
DAA is perfect for mild suppression, as it had shown most of its efficacy on men that had low Testosterone levels in the first place.
The results are inconclusive when it came to men with normal Testosterone levels.
I use 3 grams per day both while on and off cycle.
Vitamin D
Let’s face it, we aren’t getting enough sunlight in our lives. It’s hard to catch the sun given our hectic work-life balance, so that’s why I suggest you start supplementing Vitamin D. Over 40% of Americans struggle with this issue! I might be Australian, but I’m not shielded from this problem.
It’s very important to understand that Vitamin D acts as a steroid hormone inside the body.
Those deficient in Vitamin D have been shown to experience increased Testosterone levels when administering it in this study.
Not only that, but research that had been undergoing for more than a year has revealed that men who supplemented Vitamin D every day increased their Testosterone levels by more than 20%. Their levels of free Testosterone also experienced a minor increase.
You don’t necessarily have to take pills to supplement Vitamin D. If you can include foods like salmon, mushrooms and egg yolk, you’ll be well on your way to increasing your Testosterone levels.
I personally don’t have the time or energy for that, so I just supplement 60mcg a day.
Testosterone Boosters on a SARM Cycle
Using Testosterone boosters while on a SARM cycle can postpone potential suppression from SARMs.
It can’t completely prevent it, but it can serve as a useful tool for keeping your Testosterone levels in check.
I usually start supplementing Testosterone boosters two weeks into my cycle.
I know that suppression will hit me between week five or six, depending on the SARM, so I give the boosters enough time to become active in the body.
With Testosterone boosters, I can usually go up to week seven without feeling any suppression whatsoever.
Please note that with stronger SARMs, like YK11 and S23, you won’t have that much luck, as they can be highly suppressive and natural Testosterone boosters won’t be able to stop them.
Testosterone Boosters As PCT
If you’re taking something like Ligandrol or RAD 140 in low dosages, you will only experience mild suppression.
Once suppression hits, you will need to do PCT, whether you like it or not.
The good thing is, when mild suppression is concerned, you are able to alleviate it with the natural Testosterone boosters I’ve listed above.
They might not be as effective as SERMs like Nolvadex or Clomid, but they are enough to do the job when mild suppression is on the line.
The problem with SERMs is that they have side effects attached to them and they can sometimes severe in their nature.
Something like DAA or ashwagandha might be safer and better for people who aren’t completely suppressed.
Take them in the appropriate dosages every day and you’ll do just fine.
Conclusion
I usually take all three natural Testosterone boosters both off and on cycle as I’ve noticed that I generally feel better while taking them.
Testosterone boosters might not be as effective as other supplements out there, but they can be useful in making sure that your Testosterone levels are in a normal and healthy range.
